Have you ever thought about what makes a really good friend? It might not seem like the most pressing issue, but knowing what traits make a good friend can have a profound impact on your life. It lets you know how you should act to be a better friend to the people in your life. At the same time, it teaches you what you should expect from the closest people in your life. If you are interested in knowing what makes a good friend, then please start with these essential traits all good friends should have:

1. They Have Your Back

Friendships are meant to be supportive, even when times get tough. When you're having a hard time and need someone on your side it can feel like everybody abandoned ship - but that's not true! There will always come those few friends who stick by us in our lowest moments of weakness or vulnerability because they know what makes us tick: good things happen only as long as these special people keep loving enough...and bad ones don't change how much I care about them (or vice versa).

A good friend is going to have your back through the good times and the bad. It's easy to be friends with someone when everything is good, but who will be there when you fall on bad times? The people that stick by you in those times are good friends.

2. They Are Available

We all need a friend sometimes. A person who is there when we least expect it, and will never judge us for whatever may be going on in our lives! Your friends don't have to play constant moral support or even know everything about you; they just need enough insight into your world so that you feel safe coming out of yours occasionally - which helps both parties grow as individuals too.

We all have busy schedules, but it is important to take time for the people who love us. A friend should be there when you need them- even if they're not always available!

3. They Listen

All good friendships need a little give and take. Good friends listen as much as they talk. They don't just focus on telling you all their problems. They actively listen to you as well. Listening and thoughtfully responding is a hallmark of a great friendship.

The value of a good friendship is not just in the give and take, but also listening. A true friend will actively listen to you as well with an open mind even if they have problems that may be different from yours or challenges on their end. This characteristic makes them great company!

True friends are like silver. They wear away slowly and always leave your heart with them

A gentle tap, a simple hello spoken low so only you can hear it - these little gestures may seem insignificant in the big scheme of things but they're what build up our world when everything else falls away around us...It's only through having someone special by our side that we realize how valuable life really is; without those close ties would mean nothing at all.

4. They Accept You As You Are

You are wonderful just the way you are. A good friend will recognize that. They will embrace your authentic self and not judge your personal decisions. As long as you aren't harming yourself, a good friend should support your choices.

Good friends are the best kind of people to have. They will never judge you for your personal decisions and they're always there when things get tough! As long as those close with us aren't harming themselves, then a good friend should support them in whatever way possible - even if that means being an active participant or just listening from afar with empathy (or both!).

The greatest gift a friend can give you is the ability to accept and love yourself for who or what it is that make up your true self. You deserve this, after all! A good friend will be there with open arms when they see how much better life becomes with just being honest about oneself--and no one should ever have any doubts concerning their authenticity as long as harming isn't coming from within themselves either way.

5. They Are Fun to Be Around

A good friend doesn't have to be a non-stop party, but they should be fun to be around. You should look forward to seeing a good friend because you enjoy spending time with them. Of course, there will be sad events along the way, but you should be happy to be around your friends in general.

When you are surrounded by people who make your day brighter, time spent with them is always worth it. This can be seen in how we enjoy each other's company even when things aren't going smoothly or if there are sad moments along the way!

The best kind of friends are those you can count on for fun and laughter, but also understanding when it's time to upgrade your Tralla! Your buddies in crime should always make sure that they're there with both encouragement as well as support. A good friend won't judge if their significant other isn’t quite treating them right; instead these compassionate individuals will lend an ear (and maybe even help out)—just like how I'm here today.

6. They Are Trustworthy

How can you be good friends with someone if you don't trust them? Without trust, there is no close friendship. You should feel equally comfortable sharing your secrets, or letting them housesit. A good friend will gain your trust and respect it.

Having good friends is great, but it's only possible if you can trust them. If not then the bond between any two people will never become strong because of how easily one could betray their trusted Pal madame!

The tone should still be friendly even though there are some serious points being made here about what makes up an excellent friendship.

With trust at the heart of any close friendship, you can be open with your secrets and let them housesit without fear. A good friend will respect this confidence - they'll gain it from YOU first!

7. They Tell Us the Truth

Honesty is the foundation of any relationship, and a good friend will respect you enough to be honest with your needs. This might even mean they have an abrasive side when needed so that nothing gets by them unnoticed or unaddressed.

Ableism can often go overlooked in our daily lives as we constantly strive towards achieving happiness through material things rather than mutual understanding between each other which leads me on this train of thought: what happens if someone has everything? How would he/she feel then because I'm pretty sure there isn't much room left inside yourself after all those external accomplishments just waiting patiently without being touched.

Honesty is the best policy when it comes to any relationship, even friendships. A good friend will never hesitate in being honest with you and this might mean that they have your back at times when honesty needs a little more than finesse or sugarcoating.

8. They Are Kind

It is so much more enjoyable to spend time with kind people. You and your friends might get your snarky jokes off about things, but at the end of the day, they should treat you with kindness. Even better is if your friend is kind to everyone, that is a good sign they are a good friend in general.

The world is a colder, less friendly place without kind people in it. You might be able to find humor or at least something enjoyable about everything with those who have your back - but don't forget that they should treat you kindly too! A friend's kindness can tell us whether he/she will make an excellent addition for life as our partner; so look out if their attitude towards others matches how he treats YOU (I'm not talking here beating up on everybody...but hitting below the belt).

Kindness is a value that we should all strive for. It's so much more enjoyable to be around kind people and it will make your day if they are also friendly towards you as well! Even better? If one of those good friends has an amazing knack in being thoughtful toward every single individual with whom he/she comes into contact - then there might just something special going on here because no ordinary person could do such thing without feeling guilty about themselves afterwards or having any regrets whatsoever once their time runs out (which happens sooner than later).

9. They Build You Up

A good friend should build you up, not tear you down. You should feel confident and ready to take on the world with them at your side. If your friend is constantly nitpicking, doubting you, or otherwise being negative - they aren't a good friend, to begin with.

Imagine being in a relationship with someone who always has their hands out, demanding that you give them something from your life. They'll ask for just one thing but then constantly expect more as time goes by and it becomes harder to keep giving without getting hurt or taken advantage of - would this person be considered "a good friend"?"

Sometimes it can be hard to find the right words, but a good friend will know how. They'll help you feel better and give compliments when needed! If your're not feeling great about yourself - they aren't really interested in being YOUR best asset; rather just another body parts on their list of things-to do today. Or tomorrow.

Sometimes, we need to be reminded of the good things in life. Sometimes our friends can make us feel down when they are constantly critiquing or doubting everything that goes on with you - but this isn't a sign of being loyal at all!

A real friend should build Up instead of tearing Down confidence And boost Your self esteem With Them At YOUR Side.
